So who else was tuned into the royal wedding at 4 am? I know I am not the only loser who woke up way before I normally would to be glued to the TV. My conversation with my husband last night before I went to bed went something like this:
Me: I'm going to bed
Kevin: It's only 10:30 (I normally don't go to bed until 1 am)
Me: I have a long day tomorrow
Kevin: silence, waiting for me to tell him what I am doing tomorrow
Me: ....William and Kate are getting married at 4 am
Kevin: rolls eyes
I loved her dress. I know a lot of people thought it was too simple but I think it was very classic and timeless.
So my favorite part of the wedding was when Kate walked down the ailse and William was facing away from her and Harry leans over and says "wait until you see her". So sweet.
What was your favorite part?

Boy: noise with dirt on it
Between finger painting with yogurt and playing in dirt my boys love to get messy and I think the definition of boys above should be the one that we find in the dictionary because it fits perfectly.
The perfect accessories for getting messy: rubber boots and a water hose.

Things I Don't Want to Forget:
- Grant loves to give bunny kisses. A bunny kiss is when you put your head together and rub noses. Also known as a eskimo kiss but we have been calling it bunny kisses because of Easter I guess.
- Gabe loves to clasp his hands together behind his back when he walk. He looks very sneaky while doing this.
- Grant loves to bring me things that he is not suppose to have like the phone, remotes, ipad. Oh and you must say "thank you" to him for being so kind to bring you those things. If you are sitting long enough you are likely to have every object in the room in your lap.
-Gabe loves to bring me balls and stuffed animals and he wants me to throw them so that he can go "fetch" them.

Easter Weekend
On Saturday, we went to Nana and Papa G's house. My sister and her family and my grandparents were also there.
My grandpa pullling my nephew Collin and Grant around in their choo choo wagon. My boys pretty much had everyone taking turns pulling them.
Aunt Kristi and the boys
Grant hunted with Daddy and if egg hunting was a sport he would be the champ.
Gabe on the other hand he was content with only a couple eggs and plopped himself in the grass. He didn't want the eggs to go in the basket because they had cheerios in them.
Blake went for a ride with Uncle Kevin and fell asleep.
The boys with the goodies that the Easter Bunny brought to our house. They are so spoiled though the Easter Bunny visited them at 2 other houses too. Sadly I didn't get a picture of their other baskets and after we left our house Sunday morning I didn't get any more pictures because I left my camera at home.
Me and the Daddy did a little hunting of our own on Sunday afternoon. House Hunting that is and we finished the weekend off at Mimi and Scooter's house for dinner. Did I mention the boys were in rare form all weekend long? I guess they can get a sugar high from just looking at all the Easter candy because they didn't eat any.

Bird Nest Treats
I whipped these sweet Easter treats up this evening and I thought I would share the recipe because they are so easy and involves no cooking skills(my kinda recipe).
Here are the ingredients you will need:
12 oz. chow mein noodles (found in the oriental section of your store)
11 oz. butterscotch morsels
11 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
4 oz carton of mini robin egg whoppers
Marshmallow Peeps (optional)
-Melt the butterscotch and semi sweet morsels in the microwave
- Gradually stir in the chow mein noodles to the chocolate/ butterscotch mixture.
- Spoon onto wax paper
- Using your thumb or a spoon make an indent for the robin eggs
-Place the robin eggs or peeps in the center
-Put in the fridge to harden.
-Enjoy!
If you don't like the chocolate/butterscotch combo there are other recipes you can find that use chocolate/peanut butter or butterscotch/ peanut butter just google "bird nest cookies".
Happy Easter!

Things I have learned today....
So today has been a busy day and the things I have taken away from today are....
-That for your marriage to work you must "never give up" this was given from the man sitting next to me today while waiting at the dentist office. Why he started talking about marriage to me I have no idea because I said nothing to him. But what strikes me even more as weird is that he said "you must always learn to forgive, that is why my marriage failed I didn't forgive." Ummm does that sound like someone you should take marriage advice from?!?! Not saying that any of his advice was wrong just saying it was weird for him to be dishing out advice. I guess you live a learn. Ya gotta love unsolicited advice and I get a lot of it as a momma of twins but this for once was not about twins.
- I am "overprotective", same guy as above told me this. Um if my kid is on a boat and trying to jump overboard, you can bet I will be right their to catch him. Ok so that might be a little bit dramatic, it was a little boat play area in the waiting room and my little monkey was trying to climb over the sides but still so what. haha
- Your kids will make liars out of you. I was sure Gabe was not going to let the doctor look in his mouth and sure enough he just laid there and let the dentist check all his teeth. Nana says this is because she had a talk with him and told him that he had to be a big boy and let the dentist check his teeth.
-No matter how old you are you will always need your mom( well if your mom is as great as mine is). Even though I told her I would be fine without help at the dentist office I am glad she came anyways because it would have been hard to keep up with both of them and I wouldn't have been able to hold their hands for the dentist when he was checking their teeth (which by the way are perfect).
- The best diet is to not be able to eat even 1/4 of your food because you are too busy feeding your kiddos.
- I am going to bed and the house is a mess but it will be ok. Ok so this is me trying to talk myself into this.

Way Back When-sday
Since I didn't have a blog last year I thought I would show you some of the pictures from last Easter.
Don't you just want to pinch their chubby little cheeks?!?!?!

They love to play "Ring Around the Rosie" now. Grant never wants to fall down at the end but Gabe does and they both laugh.
They have enjoyed playing "Peek-a-boo" since they were itty bitty but now Grant puts his hands on his head and waits for you to say it.
A new favorite is to drop their food on the floor on purpose. This girl sure doesn't mind though.
Now to the not so good. My sweet boy Grant has been literally pulling his hair out and now has a bald spot. Apparently his life is so stressful. He doesn't just do it to himself though he does it to me and Gabe. I have noticed it mostly when he is tired.

Totally Organized Tuesdays- Favorite Things Edition
I figured this week I would do something a little different and show you some of my favorite things I use to organize and clean my home.
This Evriholder Magic Holder 5-Position Wall Organizer holds my broom, mop, sweeper and all that good stuff.
Board Dudes 11 x 14-Inch Plastic Framed Magnetic Calendar (12032UA-4)
I have had this dry erase calendar on my fridge for awhile. Since I open the fridge everyday I am reminded of doctor appointments and birthdays often. Since this calendar only covers one month at a time I have my whole calendar in my Home Management binder.
O'Cedar Pro Mist Dry or Wet Cleaning System
If you love the convenience of the Swiffer but want something more green, you will LOVE this like I do. You can use your own cleaning solution and wash the cloth pad after every use.
It is very obvious if you are regular reader of my blog that I love Sterilite products. I have used them in my pantry, laundry room, and many more places.
I love to use space bags for storing baby clothes. Even though those things are little bitty they take up a lot of room when you have two of everything. I originally thought I would store the clothes the boys outgrew in a big plastic storage bin but when I realized how much room that would take up I decided to go this route and it takes up only 1/3 of the space that a large bin would.
